Casey Michigan Well and Septic

My goal is to help homeowners navigate the process of analyzing and assessing the condition of their onsite wastewater and water supply system.

After years of working in the septic industry I realized many homeowners don’t have a clear understanding of their well and septic system. Further, an alarming number of septic systems are in some ongoing state of disrepair or failure.

Michigan is the last state in the country without a state-wide septic code. Thus, each Michigan county (and some municipalities) have adopted a patchwork of rules, regulations, and guidelines for on-site wastewater. This means each septic system is unique and requires careful attention to detail to asses and analyze its form and function.

Due, in part, to the lack of top-down leadership and regulations in Michigan’s septic industry I’ve seen a disturbing lack of ethics, education, and transparency from many “leading” septic companies. Whether it’s from ignorance or malice, a lot of companies just aren’t putting their customer’s best interests first.

That’s a major part of what drove me to take a customer-advocacy stance. My job here at MWSI is to inspect on-site wastewater systems and water supply systems for time-of-sale or independent needs.

Many Michigan counties require a time-of-sale well & septic inspection. Even in the counties that don’t having one done can help you better understand the current operational state of your well and septic system. That’s where I come in.

Why should we work together? Maybe you’re required to have an inspection done. Maybe you want an inspection for your own peace of mind. Or maybe you’ve been told your system is “broken” or “failing” and you want a second opinion. I can inspect, analyze, and then educate you in all of these situations to help you navigate your decisions with independent information.

In case you’re wondering - you can check my national independent septic inspection certification right here.

Additionally, both Washtenaw County and Ingham County (MI) recognize me as a Certified Time of Sale Well and Septic Inspector.
